Father John Patrick Boyhan

was born on Valentine’s Day in Brooklyn, New York

and was baptized a month later on St. Patrick’s Day

He was ordained a priest in his home parish on Sept. 30 1977


He received his Master’s degree from Holy Apostles College

where he eventually worked as a teacher, administrator

and vice-president.


Fr. Pat received his post graduate degree, a Pontifical License in Spiritual Theology (magna cum laude) from St Thomas University in Rome. Italy ( the same place Pope John Paul II received his)


Fr. Boyhan has preached and given retreats in Canada, Europe and                in many places throughout the United States.


He has been elected twice as the “USA-Provincial Superior” of his

religious community-The Missionaries of the Holy Apostles

(a group of priests and brothers dedicated to training and

         forming adult men and women for ministry in the church)


His last assignment before coming to Florida was as the

Vicar General (i.e. second in charge of the world-wide

         Community of the “Missionaries” who work in Africa,

         South America, Canada and the USA) and was assigned

to their “General Headquarters” in Montreal, Canada


He began his work here in Florida on Marco Island in September, 2000, six years later he was re-assigned to Pope John XXIII in Fort Myers and six years after that, he transferred to St. Columbkille.
